There
have been recent changes regarding the documents necessary to travel
between the DR and the US. Below please click the links below

AIR
There
are various flights that go directly to Punta Cana (PUJ). Flight
prices range from $300 to $700 US dollars. There are some direct
flights, but most flights have one layover, typically in Miami and San
Juan, Puerto Rico. You can find flights using online travel sites (Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz, etc.) or your favorite travel agent. Purchase your tickets as early as possible in order to benefit from a lower price.
We are currently looking into a discount flight for our guests, so if
you would like to be considered as part of this discount, please let us
know on the RSVP form!
The
other closest option is to travel to Santo Domingo (SDQ) and either
take a charter flight, rent a car or take public transportation to
Punta Cana.
GROUND TRANSPORTATION
If
you are feeling adventurous, you can either rent a car or take public
transportation to Punta Cana. Travelling there will take about 3-4
hours (depending on what mode of transportation you choose) from Santo
Domingo. You can find the typical car rental companies (Hertz, Avis,
Budget, etc.) at the Dominican airports, and the online travel sites
have caribbean car rental reservation options.
Typical daily
rates are around US $35. If you do take this option, we would highly
recommend giving yourself enough daylight hours to reach Punta Cana,
since there are no lights on many of the roads. The roads are also
shared by people, cars and animals, so you must be careful. Here is a forum on driving from Santo Domingo to Punta Cana.
